Going by the stage name of Marist in the underground scene, Maryam is one of Vancouver’s

up and coming female DJs that you’ll want to get to know!

You might recognize Marist from her wicked and eclectic sense of style as she spent many

nights lost in crowds on the dance floor.

Marist knows what to bring on the decks to make people dance and follow along on a

journey with her unique song choices and style, which is inspired by her middle eastern roots

and her love for techno.

Having only been practicing on the decks for a little over a year and a half, Marist has

already brought the grooves to various crowds and events in Vancouver’s underground

scene including Noosh360 by Nooshteam, Por Que no? by The Initiative at Enso and Harem

events by madam Lola.
